Pendulum for a 1980 Herlme wall clock

by Malcolm Archer
(Winchester, England)

I have a large 1980 Hermle Vienna regulator clock, and I need a new polished brass Lyre pendulum. I am not sure what size or where I can order it, or the cost.

The numbers on the back of the movement are:

80

241-870

75cm

75-83

Can you help?

The 75cm mark on the movement is the length of the pendulum for your movement. You may find one at timesavers.com that will fit, but it is more likely that you will have to buy one that is longer than you need and cut it to fit. The original pendulums for antique clocks are not always available. Since your clock is not that old, maybe you can contact Hermle for a replacement part since they are still in business.
