Collier clockmakers
by: Janice

I am also a descendant of one of the David Collier clockmakers ( there was more than one in fact)so may be able to help with some information. The clocks were mostly made in Cheadle and Gatley in the Greater Manchester area. Unfortunately there is a lot of wrong information about the family in clock books. I would be very interested to learn more about your clock and about the family ( surnames for example)especially if there is a family connection.
