Big Six Clock

I think this clock may only date back to the early 1960's. My parents bought it when they got their new home in 1963.

It has the "head" of a grandfather clock, but not the "body". It is marked "New England Clock, Bristol Ct." on the face, just above where the hands meet.

Can anyone tell me anything about this clock?
