Seth Thomas running fast.

by Anna
(OH)

We were given an old seth thomas spring driven mantle clock. We had it serviced (out of town).

Now that we set it up it is running fast, about 20 minutes fast the first 24 hours. It is an 8 day I believe and chimes on the half and hour.

There are 3 holes on the face, 2 larger ones and 1 small. The holes are across the middle of the face of the clock running horizontally. The key does have 2 ends.

It seems when we used the small end of the key in the small hole thinking it may be where the adjustment for slowing or speeding would be, a rod pushed outward.

Any suggestions? thank you, Anna
