Seth Thomas Grandfather clock part needed

Clock Suspension Spring

Clock Suspension Spring

I would like to know where to purchase a small part for my grandfather clock the clock works # is A403-009. All I need is the small part that is connected to the pendulum shaft at the clock end. It is connected by a thumb screw and made of some sort of fiber board with two small strips of spring steel connected to another fiber board with a pin thought it. This is what the pendulum hanger is connected to. One of the steel strips is broken.
Thanks
David Colgan

clockworks.com should have what you need, suspension springs are a common part that can break fairly easily so having 1 on hand is a good idea. You can also reach them by phone 800-381-7458

Di you ever find this ?

I have the same issue - but I never saw the clock before the part broke - it was at my parents house. I have manufactured a stainless wire replacement sprint but think I have it connected to the wrong location on the pendulum. Do you have a full picture of the thumb screw connected to the pendulum? If I can get mine to work I'll send you a picture of the wire spring I created.
