Sessions model #608 runs and chimes but stops after several hours

by Bob Munoz
(Thayne, WY)

This handsome triple chime Honduras mahogany clock was purchased in September, 1990. About 2006, even after a full wind, the pendulum motion would cease after some random number of hours of operation.

While running, it was accurate and the chimes operated perfectly. At that time I packaged the clock during a move and did not put it back on display. I love this clock. It was a 25th anniversary present to my wife.

Is it just at end-of-life or is it repairable?
