Removal of hands from Hermle mantel clock

by Edward
(New Braunfels, TX USA)

I have a new replacement for the movement in my Hermle mantel clock but I need first to remove the hands and later the screws inside which hold the movement to the case. I need help in how to remove the hands. It is a 340-020 movement.

Removing hands
by: Bill

Hi Edward,

The hand removal on your clock is very simple. First take the nut off that holds the minute hand, and pull the minute hand straight out without twisting. Then, the hour hand is held in place with a pressure fit only, so grab it down near the hub and gently pull while twisting until it comes loose.
