Regulator clock

I have had this regulator clock for 30 years . It has never failed. Now the pendulum swings but the hands do not move.

It is run by a C battery. Any idea how to trouble shoot or an easy fix.

My great uncle gave me this as a wedding gift and it means a lot. He was a clock repairman by trade.
