Need of oil and cleaning

I have a wall pendlelum "New England Clock" by Farmingham, Conn. It is wound but only runs an hour or so. It has been some time since it was cleaned and oiled..if that is what they do. Should I take it to someone local for this service, if there is a local person? Or is it better to have the place origin handle it?
