Moved our Seth Thomas clock and now it won't keep time

I moved our Seth Thomas clock. It is level and when I wind it, it will run about 6 hours and stops. It's never done this before. So I can't imagine that it needs repair, I think I may have just hung the pendulum wrong or something. Any ideas?

Note from Bill: It sounds like it may be out of beat. This can happen if the new place you set it is not exactly like where it used to be (level-wise).

Using a level on a clock does nothing to ensure that they are in beat because it depends on the adjustment of the crutch and pendulum leader inside the clock.

The best way to get the clock in beat is to carefully listen to the tic-toc sound of the clock and lift one side or the other until you get a perfectly even tick tock sound. It should sound like tic-toc-tic-toc-tic-toc...., not tic....toc-tic....toc-tic....toc-tic, etc.

Thanks, Bill
