Clock stopped after 8 years of running

I built a regulator clock case back in 2002 and found a pefect mechanical movement for it on the internet. I just wound it every Sunday morning and it ran without fail.

The other day it stopped. I expected to find a broken spring or something else obvious. But the movement still looks like new. I expected to see worn bushings or some other type of wear because I never cleaned or oiled it ever. But it just does not stay running.

The movement is a La Rose 771-000 and I know it was not very expensive. I would just replace it but I can not find it on the web anywhere. I can not find a suitable substitute either, it must have a long pendulum of 18 inches from handshaft to bottom of pendulum.

I would take any help or suggestions! thanks

Chuck
