Broken main spring - Seth Thomas Ships Clock

by Sam Carr

Seth Thomas Ships Clock

Seth Thomas Ships Clock

The Seth Thomas Ships Clock my wife gave me many years ago broke the main spring while winding it. It appears that a gear inside has possibly been bent as it looks slightly uneven. Is this a repairable situation? The local clocksmith it was purchased from has retired. I can't find a model or serial number on it anywhere but it is 7" in diameter, 4" deep with a chrome body, it has an internal bell and needs to be wound every day (30 hours).
