Brass clock

by Dave
(Jacksonville, FL)

Ship bell clock

Ship bell clock

Ship bell clock Ship clock - side ship clock - movement

I have a brass porthole clock on a plaque that stikes a brass bell above the clock. It is about 19 years old.

The movement is quartz and is evidently worn out. I would like to replace the movement, but must take the clock apart to allow me to get to the hands so I can remove them and take the movement out.

It appears that the only way to open it is to separate the two brass pieces. I cannot get them apart.

Pictures are forwarded to show the problem.
