Tall Clock

We are going to purchase this clock and really love the style of it. There are no markings except Volta inside which I think is German. Has anyone seen a clock like this or knows anything about it? I have been researching but I cannot find a brass and silver face like it with numbers, not roman numerals; or a tall case similar to this one.

German Tall Clock

The clock in the picture does look German made. At least from what I see in the picture (without seeing the movement) is similar to many German tall clocks made from the late 1800's until about the 1920's.

Many of the clocks made in Germany during this time had the round dial with arabic numbers like the one in your picture.

You will be happy to know that the clocks are very well made and with the proper service, will run trouble free for years.
