Gilbert clock age
by: Bill

Your clock is a nice example of a William L. Gilbert Palor clock. Although coming up with an exact year is not usually possible, since most models were made for more than one year, we can get a close estimate going by the style.

The patent date of 1879 is when the movement was patented. The case type of your clock looks to be from the 1880's or 1890's.

If anyone has this model in their books or reference materials, please post what you find here. This particular clock is not in my books.

Thank you for posting.
