Newly Inherited Clock

by Barry Warner
(Hermosa Beach, Cal.)

Just obtained a C and L.C Ives clock. It is about 3 feet tall and 16 1/2" in wide. Made in Bristol Conn. It is an 8 day clock.

Very interesting inscription on face- "The Union Now and Forever" The clock is in gorgeous condition and appears to be ALL original. I am told it is in working order. A little research indicates that it probably was made around 1830.

Does anybody know anything about this clock and an approximate value. I have the key , a 5 opening brass winder(Swiss) and what appears to be like an old Allen wrench.

Thank you.
