My grandparents' New Haven Mantel Clock

I recently found this New Haven mantel clock in my grandparents' WV house, after they passed away. I believe it may have been a gift from my great-grandmother. Hoping to learn more about it.

The clock was made by The New Haven Clock Co. I believe it may be a carriage clock. It measures 4"H x3"W x 1.5"D. There are letters/numbers on the bottom ('J.B. 699').

Any information on my new treasure and its potential value would be greatly appreciated.
