My Ansonia Figural "Mercury" Mantel Clock

This clock has been in my family along time . I can not find an identical clock any where on line.

On the face it says manufactured by Ansonia Clock Co., New York, United States Of America.

I opened the back and there is a patent date June 14 '81.

My great grandfather painted the Mercury figure in the 1920's . Can anyone tell me anything about it?

I think it's brass because of the greenish patina and can it be restored ?
