It could be, we have a clock that looks simliar to yours, and our clock is dated October of 1870

Agree probably Circa 1870 Jerome. Model name "Octagon Prize". Award winner!
Other probability: when Jerome went out of business and joined the New Haven Clock Co., New Haven used the Trade name "Jerome & Co.". New Haven reproduced this model under this marketing name. The only way that I have heard of to discern the exact company is if the clock still contains the original lable.
