I have the exact same clock passed down to me from my great grandparents but have been unsucessful at finding anything about it. Mine however isn't painted. Have you received any responses on what it might be worth or what the style name is for this ridicoulsly heavy clock?

Sorry, James, but I can't be of much help. I took it to a clock repair place here in denver, and the guy says it's from about 1900. But I think that was a guess. He had another one that he was working on, and it was just like mine except the case was just a little more ornamental.

I agree with the guy in Denver. Although I have not found this clock in the color of yours (maybe refinished?), the ones I did find were circa 1900.

I also have this exact clock, except the coloring is black & gold marbleized. Everything else is identical though. I got it as a gift from a friend of my mother who purchased it at an antique shop in West Virgina. I wish I knew more about it.
