Grandpas clock could be...
by: Bill

Hi Susan,

It's hard to tell exactly what type of clock you might have without a picture to see.

First, is the clock made of brass? Is it square?

A square, brass clock with heavy beveled glass is a crystal regulator. But there are other types that it could be.

The name you saw starting with "Water" could be Waterbury. The Waterbury Clock Company is an American clock company that made many types of clocks and pocket watches from 1857 to 1944. They were located in Waterbury, CT.

If you can give us any more details, or a picture, maybe I, or another of our visitors here can help you further.

Thank You for your post.
