German WWII Mantel Clock.

Greetings,

I'd acquired this mantel clock from a friend whose father brought it back from Germany after the last war. We are curious as to it's history and it's possible value to a collector.

I assume clocks like this were fairly common and manufactured between 1936 and 1945 ? The clock works well when wound, the wood is in good shape, however the hinge for the glass cover needs to be soldered onto the main face ring.

There are no other identifications anywhere on the clock other than the party logo and big "M" on the face.

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

Best Regards,

Ralf Pfob
