Family Clock Moved From New Haven, CT to Cleveland, OH

(St. Paul, MN)

I have a mantel clock that was purchased by my ancestors who lived in New Haven, CT. I was told that this clock was transported to the Cleveland, OH area in a covered wagon when the family moved west.

It is a wooden clock that is approximately 35" tall, 17" wide, and 5" deep. There is an eagle carved across the top of the clock.

The bottom window shows the following information. I have not included the text for the directions. I can send a copy of the directions, if needed.

Unfortunately, there is a stain on the paper covering up whatever is printed after "warranted, if" and what is printed below this area. Except for the text of the directions, here is what is readable on this paper:

(picture of an eagle) EIGHT-DAY REPEATING Directions
(text) BRASS CLOCKS, (text)
manufactured and sold
by

C. & N. Jerome,
Bristol, CONN.

warranted, if.....printer, Hartford

The clock contains two very heavy weights.

A picture could be sent, if needed.

What can anyone tell me about this clock?
