Did this Clock even exist?

by Thomas Ragosta
(Watervliet NY)

The clock I have is a Seth Thomas Hotel Wind-up Clock. I’m not positive but I’m pretty sure its from (or around) the year 1873.

It operates on 2 Dry Cell Batteries (which I don’t have unfortunately). The Handmade box is made of Oak and has the dimensions are: 39”H x 15”W x 6”D.

The Clock Face has Roman Numerals, it is 10” in diameter and only has “SETH THOMAS” and “MADE IN USA” written on it.

Any other information, would be very much appreciated.

Thank you, Thomas Ragosta.
