Chiming quit on Howard MIller grandfather

My Howard Miller grandfather clock quit chiming for no apparent reason. Prior to its stopping chiming, I noticed it making a soft whirring sound when it chimed. I did check to make sure the silencer was not on.

I just had it repaired for other things and it chimed fine for three days.
