Chiming Clocks

by Mark Beckert
(mjbwoodcraft.com)

My

My "Wedding Clock"

These are just 2 of the Clocks I've made over the past 10 years, both are of my own design and both have Hermele keywind movements. The "Wedding Clock" has a custom painted dial and an hourly bell movement, the Walnut Shelf clock has a brass dial with a moving moon phase along with a 4/4 Westminster movement.

wrongly named mantle clock
by: Anonymous

from your picture your clock looks like a table mantle clock. Chiming clocks usually has three holes for winding, one for running the right for music and the left for hourly stricking

I'm curious about several things here in your anonymous post- First, what is "stricking"? Second, the term "table mantle" - I've never seen a table with a "mantle". And thirdly, the correct spelling is "mantel". Thank you for the critique but in the future, please consult your dictionary for proper spelling and grammar before posting. Thanks again, Mark Beckert

Aptly named

This clock is 23" tall which would make it excessively large for a table clock. Also, this clock has a bell movement which chimes on the hour and half hour. Therefore, it's a chiming clock.

Multiple Pictures

I'm sorry about the single picture restriction. I would love to see more of your clocks though. For now, you can do each one separately, and I can combine them into one page.

Very soon, though I am going to allow more than one picture. Still working out the bugs, but check back soon and it should be ready.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful clocks. The craftsmanship is outstanding.

Sorry, the clock pictured above is my Wedding Clock. I thought I was able to post more than one photo at once.
